Vesta Legacy was born from a deeply personal journey for the couple from the Netherlands who founded it, rooted in Noelle’s student-athlete experience. Guided by values of home, warmth, and support, the company helps high school athletes in Europe pursue college sports in the USA while creating a sense of belonging and stability. The name Vesta, the Roman goddess of the hearth, reflects the mission to nurture each athlete’s inner fire, while “Legacy” represents growth, impact, and leaving something meaningful behind.

Challenge / Approach

Student-athletes face an overwhelming U.S. college system. To reflect guidance, support, and ambition, we drew on Roman imagery, focusing on Vesta and fire, and blended it with American sports branding. The goal was a visual identity that felt personal, warm, confident, and timeless.

Solution / Outcome

Vesta appears in profile, framed within a Roman coin, with subtle fire in her hair. A strong custom wordmark and flexible logo system allow the identity to work across social, apparel, print, and signage. Green and gold reflect growth, energy, and strength.

The client’s color choices are personal, drawn from their first week as a married couple at Hotel Le Notre Dame overlooking the Notre Dame Cathedral. Navy and gold felt grounded, timeless, and strong. I explored a few extras too, including an old gold for tradition, a brighter gold for energy, and a green to represent growth & development and the same qualities they valued in navy. In the end, the brighter gold and green won the day.

A strong, custom wordmark built from the same elements from the logo doesn’t just make the visual system more flexible, but allows the brand to be more visible to more people. Combine that with a strong color palette and a variation of logo configurations, your brand will become more consistent and more memorable over time.​​​​​​​
