SCALA is K-12 school located in Panama and opened in 2018. They have a focus on training the future leaders of Panama by providing a bilingual education based on values, basic skills, teamwork and educational technology. With a SCALA education, their students will be prepared to be successful in their family and professional lives.

In 2018, the Jaguar was chosen as the official school mascot because it is native to the regions where the schools are located.

The SCALA Jaguars are 1 of 3 schools under the SCALA International Schools umbrella that we were grateful to create athletic identities for. The Other 2 that round out the school district are: Oxford Knights and IC Falcons.

– Project Goals & Solution

The goal was to create a brand identity that is of professional sports organization quality that will have the school community excited and proud of for years to come. It needs to appeal to a wide range of 4 year olds to adults of every gender. We wanted to to create an aesthetically bold jaguar that includes a full body logo and is balanced with aggressive and kid friendly. The aim was to create something dynamic and make sure the jaguar is standing and/or “prowling” to give it a sense of assertive instead of laying down like the jaguar the MET Jaguars use for their logo. We created a logo that’s simple with just enough detail to make it dynamic so color can enhance the logo, rather than be used as a crutch.
